Project Title: Needs Assessment for Sustainable Fisheries Management in Indonesia Using the AI-Based Vessel Trajectory Analysis System “Triton’s Spear”

Project Overview: This project aims to assess the feasibility of implementing the AI-based vessel trajectory analysis system, “Triton’s Spear,” in Indonesia to promote sustainable fisheries management. By deploying IoT devices on fishing vessels operating within 12 nautical miles of the coast in Penangkaran, Jakarta, we aim to provide fishermen and government agencies with valuable insights into fishing activities. Through AI-powered analysis of vessel trajectories, we seek to enhance fisheries resource management by accurately estimating fishing effort.

Our team focused on the research and development of shipborne IoT systems and AI-based systems for estimating fishing effort from vessel trajectories. This involves developing IoT devices capable of collecting high-precision vessel data, as well as creating AI algorithms to analyze this data and provide actionable insights.
