Project Title: Development of “Smart Tasking 2.0” – A Suspicious Vessel Identification System for Countering IUU Fishing

Project Overview:
Responding to suspicious vessels engaged in illegal fishing that deplete marine resources, as well as smuggling, illegal trading, and ship-to-ship transfers in Southeast Asian waters and beyond, has become an international challenge. Our company has previously developed IoT devices for the fishing industry and collected data for fisheries resource assessment. In this project, we aim to strengthen monitoring and countermeasures against IUU (Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated) fishing and suspicious vessels by developing “Smart Tasking 2.0,” a high-precision suspicious vessel detection system that combines our cultivated technologies with satellite data. We will conduct demonstration tests in Southeast Asian waters.

Area of Responsibility: Research and development for detecting ship-to-ship transfers and understanding actual operational conditions.
